I was so excited when Jackie & Mike, whose wedding I shot back in 2007, emailed me to say they were expecting a baby! Right away I thought about Jackie’s infectious laugh and the way Mike looks at Jackie with love. Sure enough our photo session was filled with lots of laughs, love, kisses…and ice cream! While we were shooting I told Jackie to think about something she loved….and a huge smiled appeared on her face. I thought, “Wow, this is great.” Then I asked her what she was thinking about and the truth came out…..her love affair with ice cream. Soon enough we had gone outside my studio to take some photos, and guess what pulled up…..the ice cream truck! It was the perfect ending to a wonderful shoot.

About 2 months ago, I received an email from David (below) who wanted to purchase a Portrait Session as a gift for his beautiful wife Heidi on her first Mother’s Day. David works with one of my very favorite client’s, Katherine, and said she had been “subjecting him” to her photos and slideshows for years. He thought this would be a great gift for his wife…of course I thought so too! We held the session at David’s parents home in downtown Boston, where right in the back yard was an unbelievably gorgeous garden. To top off the beautiful garden, their lovely daughter Julianne rocked the entire session. Here are some of my very favorite photos….

And in the end, when we asked her to fall asleep…she did. A perfect baby!

Today is my 8 year anniversary with my husband. He is the most wonderful, caring, loving, warm man in the world; and I am a very, very lucky girl! Happy Anniversary David!
Here is my favorite photo from our wedding. In the photo you can see we are on the altar of our church, and he is putting the ring on my finger. The reason we are laughing is he could NOT get it on my finger and the priest kept telling him to let me put it on, but David insisted…we couldn’t stop laughing.
A couple weeks ago I was at my hair salon when an interesting conversation came up amongst the women getting their hair done. To my left was a soon to be bride having her bridal hair trial done, to my right was a soon to be MOB and behind me waiting for her color was a MOG. The topic of “finding the dress for the mother of the bride/groom” came up and turned into a very interesting conversation. Both women were having difficulty finding the right dress for their children’s weddings. Both had been to several places only to find stiff, matronly looking dresses that made them look old.
I actually decided to “pipe in”, which is not my personality, however because I see SO many dresses at weddings, I thought I could give them some ideas. My favorite MOB dress came from Diana’s wedding last August. Her mother (seen below) wore a gorgeous dress she purchased from Nordstroms. She looked so beautiful and truly stood out. I specifically remembered this dress because it was so different, stylish and non-traditional from what tends to be the “norm” for MOB’s and she look perfect all night.
Here are a couple photos of the dress….it rocked.

Boudoir sessions are very popular right now, and I recently had a session with Kelley who is giving her husband a “little black book” for Father’s Day. We had a great time shooting at my studio and I’ve included some images from her album. If you think Kelley looks as though she is glowing, that’s probably because she owns Glow in Worcester…..if you think she’s got a great body, that also because she is a CrossFit trainer. If you are interested in finding out more about Boudoir Sessions, please send me an email!
One last thing….Kelley gave her complete sign off of me posting these photos….I would too if I had a body like this!

So far this season, I have been blessed with some beautiful weekday sessions and cursed with rainy weekday sessions….starting now I am throwing my positive energy towards beautiful weekday AND weekend weather! With that said, poor Katie & Bill (amongst others) have had to reschedule their photo session several times due to weather. With Katie & Bill’s wedding closely approaching we threw in the towel and still “went for it” even though the forecast had called for rain. We started out shooting at my studio..and it rained hard…but then the SUN came out! Thank you! Thank you!
Katie styled her outfits perfectly…as if straight out of a j. crew meets anthropologie catalog. They looked amazing and had so much fun together. I loved spending time with them and am really looking forward to their wedding in July.
Here are some of my favorite photos from our session.

As a photographer, I am so lucky to become more familiar with my wonderful clients’ as they introduce me into their fabulous “worlds”. I learn so much from every single person I work with! So many of my brides spend quite a bit of time researching everything from the “perfect photographer” to the perfect hair and make up artist. Every single one of my brides has looked amazing and many of them share some pretty interesting information on hair, make-up, trends, etc. and I thought this would be a great place for me to share with my readers.
Today being the first day, I will share something I have actually tried……..Rapid Lash! Rapid Lash is a product that I tried to help grow longer more supple lashes. I was skeptic when I first heard about it because it wasn’t a prescription and it was sold over the counter at my local pharmacy. However, I tried it! Every night I put the solution on my eyes before I went to bed for about 4 weeks and sure enough it worked. I couldn’t believe it. I wish I had a photo for you….really I should, but I don’t. My mother, who notices everything noticed right away, which told me I was on the right track. I’ve continued to use it and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a little extra eye definition of their wedding day!
I just love photographing the LeBlanc family. They are currently participating in the Year in the Life with the newest addition to their family, Leah. She just turned 6 months and was a complete doll, as was her big sister Emma during the entire shoot. We started off at my studio and ended the session in my backyard. My backyard is probably one of my favorite places to shoot. Some of my very favorite photographs have been captured there. Here are some of my favorite photos from the shoot!

I really lucked out with a BEA-U-TI-FUL day in the middle of April for Marissa and Joe’s Engagement Session! We had a lovely afternoon in Boston…check out some of my favorite photos…

When I received an email from Nancy that she and Daryl had another baby and they would like to do another baby photo session, I was so excited. Not only do they have the most unreal light in their home, but they are a ridiculously gorgeous, kind, fun family. It had been about a year since I had been their last for Maia’s first photo session, and here I was again meeting and photographing their beautiful new son, “DJ”. Maia was THE best big sister during the photo session. DJ was SO happy when she was around, as you can see from the photos below.
Here are some of my favorite photos from their session…
