Ashley & Jason, Four Seasons Hotel Wedding, Boston: Part 1 of 2

Ashley and Jason not only look like a perfect couple, but they are a perfect couple.  Ashley is gorgeous, kind, thoughtful and very family oriented.  Jason is handsome, smart, humble and loving.  How could that not make the perfect recipe for marriage?  I got to know Ashley and Jason during their engagement session in Boston last November and knew I was going to love documenting their wedding day…..I was completely right.

The day started out at the Four Seasons in Boston where Ashley got ready with her friends and family by her side.  Ashley’s amazing dress floored me.  It was the type of dress that needs someone to wear it, and not let the dress wear them.  It was a perfect fit and Ashley rocked it.

The ceremony was also held at the Four Seasons.  Ashley had a vision to drape with walls with white silk that harmonized with the crystal chandeliers and white orchids throughout.  It looked amazing from every single angle of the room.

Part 2 coming soon!

Here is Ashley’s father reviewing the notes to his heartfelt toast….adorable.

This next photo was specifically requested and very personal to Ashley.  Here is her sister (who had baby Jude the week before and looks unreal….what’evs!)   Jude represented purity…I think you could have heard a pin drop when Danielle walked with him down the aisle.

Here Ashley’s father took a moment as he walked her down the aisle…I had never seen this and was so completely touched.

Halle & Ethan Bnai Mitzvah: wayland part 3

The “after party” was also at the temple where it was once again transformed into an amazing space themed night for Halle & Ethan’s friends to party.  There was everything a 13 year old would want including dancers, a dj, good bags, photo booth, indoor basketball hoops, candy, amazing food, shakes, fun music & more.

Thank you so much to Tara & Larry for including me in the very special day of their children….and thank you to all my Jewish friends for all the best insider tips!

Halle & Ethan, Bnai Mitzvah: Wayland Part 2

After the ceremony, Halle & Ethan’s parents planned an elegant luncheon filled with amazing hors d’oeuvres, a 3 string quartet and vintage inspired decor at the Temple.  Inside the luncheon the guests were seated at beautifully adorned tables and listened closely to Tara and Larry deliver eloquent, meaningful speeches to their children, Halle and Ethan.   Here are a few of my favorite photos from the luncheon.

Halle & Ethan, Bnai Mitvah: Wayland Part 1

Last year I was contacted by Tara (mother of Halle & Ethan) requesting information for me to shoot their the upcoming Bnai Mitzvah of her twins Halle and Ethan.  I thanked Tara for thinking of me, and let her know I only shot weddings & portraits.  Typically I stay away from the teenage crown (ie. Bar Mitzvah’s, Sweet Sixteen Parties, Quincentera’s etc.) I remember what it was like as a teenager….and just never planned on going back!

Tara laughed, and the told me she would not take “No” for an answer.  I laughed.  I had never shot a Bar, Bat or Bnai Mitzvah ever and I had no idea what the flow was like.  I thought how weddings generally have a typical flow, however with Mitzvah’s, the ceremony could not be photographed….how could I document that and bring them back to the day?  Again, I politely thanked Tara for thinking of me and gave her the names of other photographers with Mitzvah experience.  Again, Tara laughed and said send me the contract……

I conceded, only because Tara was so kind and adamant about having me document this very important event for her children.  I said OK and immediately called all my Jewish friends.  They were all mad because I had always told them I wouldn’t ever shoot their kids Mitzvahs…and now I was shooting this total stranger’s??  Luckily they go over it and guided and advised me on the event as well as shared books on what to expect.

The day started out with the Bnai Mitzvah ceremony at the temple in Wayland and was followed by an elegant luncheon with close family and friends.

So……here are the photos from this amazing day……Part 1.

The Magennis Family, Boston Public Gardens Family Photos

I met this wonderful family for the very first time at the Boston Public Gardens on an absolutely perfect day.  Cheryl was hoping for some photos near the tulips, and it just so happened that the tulips bloomed perfectly for us on this day……

Jessica & Hunter, Stratton Mountain Wedding

Jessica and Hunter were married on a surprisingly snowy day in late April at Stratton Mountain.  It definitely didn’t phase Jessica and Hunter, because they were surrounded by close family and friends for an unbelievably fantastic wedding.  I am so grateful I was able to be a part of this amazing couples’ day.
